Santo Domingo RD, the group of ELC student leaders from the University of Alvernia in the US developed the My First Garden program for the first time in the country. A program
aimed at public schools in the Dominican Republic, which consists of creating a small garden with students in one of the areas of the school.
As an agricultural country, the JB Foundation wants to encourage children and adolescents to develop vegetable planting activities for self-consumption. The school chosen for the development of the Program was the basic school El Awakening of the educational district 10-04.
The ELC team was made up of 8 young students and 1 teacher from the university, while the General Director and the Program Coordinator were present from the JB Fundacion. This activity took place on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.< /p>
