Service is my passion and has always been part of my life. My experience serving in the Dominican Republic provided a unique perspective for me and was instrumental in my establishing the JB Foundation. For the past 6 years, the Foundation has been providing programs in vulnerable communities for children, youth, women and the elderly. With a great team of dedicated Dominican volunteers, the Foundation has been able to continue to move forward and provide meaningful experiences for the communities where we serve.

Judith A. Bohler is President and CEO of JB Foundation. She currently travels to the Dominican Republic for 6 months a year and lives and serves with local Foundation volunteers.

Mrs. Bohler retired from Alvernia University where she worked for 20 years. Her last position was as the Coordinator of Community Engagement for the Holleran Center for Community and Global Engagement, where she assisted students in fulfilling their community service requirement.

For 16 years she traveled with students and also independently to work with the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters at their mission in the Dominican Republic. As a result of this experience, and in consultation with like-minded friends in the Dominican Republic, she decided to establish the JB Foundation when she retired. The Foundation primarily ministers in the Dominican Republic and Lancaster County, PA.
