JB Foundation Hosts End-of-Summer Event and School Supplies Distribution

Santo Domingo,  – The Judith Bohler Foundation, known as JB Foundation, successfully concluded its annual school supplies distribution through the "Lápiz y Papel" program. The distribution began on Thursday, August 15th, starting in the community of El Rucio, in the municipality of Castillo, Duarte Province, and continued in the community of Villa Agros, in the municipality of Bayaguana.

To close the summer, JB Foundation organized a back-to-school event in the Salón de Actos Padre Victoriano of the Santa Luisa De Marillac Parish, located in the Los Tres Brazos sector. More than 150 children participated in this event, enjoying a day filled with joy, activities, songs, and a live children’s show. Additionally, snacks such as popcorn, pizza, soft drinks, and cotton candy were provided.

JB Foundation, a non-profit organization based in the United States with a mission in the Dominican Republic, has implemented various educational, recreational, and values-based programs in the Dominican Republic over the past seven years. This summer, the Foundation launched a new initiative called “Verano Cine Móvil,” aimed at providing children in Los Tres Brazos with a values-enriched vacation through cinema.

Egal De Los Santos, Director of Social Programs at the Foundation, stated that "the closing event not only marked the end of summer for these children but also celebrated the education and values that JB Foundation promotes in the country’s most vulnerable communities."

With this successful event, JB Foundation reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting the most vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic, offering growth and learning opportunities through its various programs.
